The ASMR tingle tracker
ASMR is the name given to a pleasant tingly sensation felt by some people during certain audio and/or visual stimuli. ASMR videos, like those found on YouTube, are designed to induce these sensations thus helping their viewers to relax and fall asleep.
Tingle Town is an attempt at recording when tingles are experienced during ASMR videos. By aggregating this data, one can clearly see where the tingle hot spots are in a video.
For now, this site is just a proof of concept; a hastily-constructed experiment to gauge interest and test feasibility. Should it prove popular, the end goal may be a recommendation engine based not on tags or favourite videos, but common tingle timings.
To find a video, simply enter the YouTube URL in the field above or start watching one of the popular videos below. While the video plays, simply press the Tingles! button to log a tingle. The Tingles! button can be held for as long as the tingle lasts and this will count as one tingle. You can skip to hot spots by clicking that area on the chart below the video. When you've had enough or the video has finished, click Save log to save your tingle log to the server and contribute to the chart.
